Two iconic cities, endless neon: Tokyo x Kyoto Review

Two iconic cities, endless neon: this Tokyo x Kyoto adventure is packed with cool gaming spots, alleyway eats, giant monsters, and more 🚀🍜. Tokyo’s Must-See Spots: 1. Taito Station Shinjuku East Exit Shop (Japan, 〒160-0022 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Shinjuku, 3 Chome−22−7 指田ビル): Open daily till late. Hit the arcade for classic claw machines and rhythm games—great for killing time when jetlag hits! 2. Omoide Yokocho Memory Lane (1 Chome-2 Nishishinjuku, Shinjuku City): Old Tokyo vibes, lantern-lit alleys, open 24/7. Grab yakitori here—tip: go early evening to avoid the dinner rush! 3. Godzilla Head (1 Chome-19 Kabukicho, Shinjuku City): Snap a selfie with Godzilla looming over Kabukicho, especially lit up after dark—free and super quirky. 4. Shinjuku City: The heart of action, endless shopping and food. Wander through depachika basements for snacks, or people-watch in front of the station. 5. Kabukicho (160-0021, Shinjuku-ku): Tokyo’s nightlife spot, open 24/7. Bars, themed cafes, and endless ramen shops. Pro tip: Stay alert, as it gets rowdy at night, but totally worth seeing for the neon streets. Getting Around: Suica/Pasmo IC Cards make subway hopping painless. Google Maps works in Japan—set routes before going offline. Shinjuku Station is a maze, so note which exit to use (East Exit for arcades & Yokocho!). Food Recs: Don’t leave Shinjuku without trying karaage chicken and takoyaki from street stalls. Omoide Yokocho has hidden izakayas with legendary sake! Essentials: No visa needed for short visits from most countries. Most places take cash—grab yen at airport ATMs. Weather is mild April-November, but pack an umbrella just in case. #tokyonightlife #japanarcades #memorylaneeats #godzillaviews #japantravel

Kabukicho A must-visit photo hotspot in Japan! 🌃 This is definitely a paradise for shopping and food, super many shopping malls with Japanese characteristics ~ When night comes, the whole Tokyo is flashing with lights, high-rise buildings, constant traffic, a lot of people, but full of a sense of life, people footsteps super fast but feel very energetic ~ Whether you are looking for authentic authentic snacks, catching up with the latest trends, or taking beautiful photos to feel the Tokyo night, Kabukicho will definitely satisfy you! 📸✨ 📍Kabukicho Address: 160-0021, Shinjuku, Tokyo Opening Hours: Open all day year-round If you want to stay in the bustling city of Tokyo and have a peaceful environment, I recommend you to stay at the KOKO Select Hotel in Nihonbashihamachi, Tokyo! 🏨 Address: 2 Chome-30-4 Nihonbashihamacho This hotel is only a 1-3 minute walk to Hamamachi Subway Station, and the transportation is very fast, whether it is to Shinjuku, Ginza, Shibuya, or even the airport! The rooms are new and large, some can also see the Tokyo Tower / Skytree view, the bedding is comfortable, the bathroom dry and wet separation very humane. There are self-pickup skin care products and bath salt in the lobby, super Chill ~ The surrounding environment is very quiet, next door is Bincho Park and convenience store (Lawson), children under 5 years old can also stay free and enjoy breakfast, definitely suitable for families 👨👩👧👦. If you are on a limited budget, there is also VIA INN PRIME Nipponbashi Ningyocho – JR West Group nearby. No matter how many times you visit Tokyo, Kabukicho must be on your schedule! It's healing and fun to feel the unique bustling of Tokyo at night! 🌙🚶♂️🚶♀️
