He made his debut with the photo book "Blankey Jet City" in 1995 and has since photographed many famous subjects and music icons. In 2019, he was responsible for the photography of the book "ROCKERS OF THE HOLY LAND," which includes a message from the Rev. Kazuhiro Sekino. • Exhibition Content: "ROCKERS OF THE HOLY LAND" features photographs and a message book taken during a joint visit by Ogata and rock pastor Kazuhiro Sekino to the "Holy Land" of Israel and Palestine. These quiet yet powerful works capture the musical culture and faith-based "rockers" they encountered in Israel. • Exhibition Format: Admission is free during "Gallery Time" (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (¥1,000) during the daytime (café access required). The moment we set foot inside SOWCO. Gallery, a gallery in Tokyo's Tamachi area, the atmosphere was already extraordinary. We were greeted by a collection of photographs by photographer Hidemi Ogata, capturing the energy she felt during her visit to the "Holy Land" of Israel and Palestine with pastor Kazuhiro Sekino. A powerful yet tranquil world unfolded before our eyes, as if witnessing a "site" where faith and rock, everyday life and ritual intersect. The opening reception featured a live drumming performance. The space, where heartbeats and shutter sounds overlapped, created a sense of unity, as if the photographs themselves were imbued with sound. The hall was filled with the atmosphere of a sacred place, the spirit of rock, and Ogata's gaze. • Venue: Approximately an eight-minute walk from Tamachi Station.
