A Tokyo resident of 10 years decided to go all out and 'tour'! Part 3

This post covers the itinerary of the third day out of a total of 5 nights and 6 days! I walked a lot this day too... not as much as the previous day, but about 35,000 steps..? hehe , second photo The first place I went to was Nihonbashi. This is the heart of Japan's finance, where banks and securities companies gather. Since I’m studying finance, I took the opportunity to check it out. , fourth photo But the main purpose was this art museum! Students get in free, so I booked a ticket online and went. I was worried if it would work since I’m Korean, but they accepted the student ID issued in Korea. I love looking at exhibits, so I enjoyed checking out various artworks. It was an exhibition worth seeing even for free. #fifth and sixth photos After viewing the artworks, I went to Takashimaya. It’s a luxury department store, so I had no intention of browsing (humble), and only visited the food hall in the basement. Isn’t the panda-shaped bread so cute?ㅠㅠ #seventh and eighth photos For the first meal of the day, I ate at a nearby soba shop I had researched beforehand. By 11:30, office workers flood in, filling the place and creating a waiting line. I had high expectations for the soba taste, but it was just ordinary. The atmosphere felt like an old-fashioned soba shop, which was nice. , tenth photo Next, I headed to Pang Maison, a salt bread shop in Ginza. A friend insisted I must go, so I reluctantly went. But I was shocked to see a long waiting line from far awayㅠㅠ Still, it was worth the wait. The breads were all very cheap (basic salt bread was 120 yen...) but the taste and quality were not lacking. Eating it on the street almost brought me to tears. Highly recommend this place! #eleventh photo Just before going to Tsukiji Market, I visited Honganji Temple. It looks like a cathedral at first glance, but it’s like Jogyesa Temple in Korea! Inside, Buddhist chants play and there’s a place for prayer. , thirteenth photo I also walked around Tsukiji Market right next door. Most shops have moved to Toyosu, so not many remain, but it’s a place where you can grab a quick meal. , fifteenth and sixteenth photos If you walk a bit further past Tsukiji Market, you’ll find Hamarikyu Gardens, a fairly large garden. The entrance fee is 300 yen, and there’s a wide pond. If you go deeper, there’s a tea house with an amazing view! The tea was 500 yen. Definitely worth a visit! , eighteenth photo Next, I headed to the Success Stone Steps. If you want to succeed, you have to climb all those stone steps... Success is really tough. But once you reach the top, there are some sights to see. There are quite a few Japanese-style buildings. , twentieth photo Finally, I went to Tokyo Tower. Even though I lived here for nearly 10 years, I had never walked right under the tower like this. I felt like my neck was going to break. The view from afar isn’t bad either, so finding hidden spots to take the best life shots would be great! Considering I didn’t get sick after all that walking, I guess I’m still young. It was really scorching hot, and I could have gotten heatstroke if I wasn’t careful, but I was strong...
