A historic shrine founded in 1276

#aprilblooms The shrine is located about 300 metres southeast of JR Kameari Station and beyond the main street (Kanshichi Street). The torii that can be seen along the main street is a "back road", so do not go through this, turn right along the road, and enter from the "Omotesando" on the side of the large shopping centre "ARIO". A pair of "koma turtles" sitting on the left and right of the torii are landmarks. Kameari Katori Shrine is a venerable shrine founded in 1276 and is popular with locals, and it is famous for its often appearing in the manga "This is Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen-mae Police Station" set in the local Kameari. On the way to Omotesando, there is a statue of "Ryo-san" of the character "This is the Kameari Park Police Station in Katsushika Ward". It is also included in one of the maps around the Kameari area, so many people stop by for a walk. The "Redai Festival", a festival held every September at Kameari Katori Shrine, is also a motif of the festival that appears in "This is the Kameari Park Police Station in Katsushika Ward".
