Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, Tokyo

#cherryblossom25 Koishikawa Korakuen Garden is like a pocket of old Edo-era peace tucked right into modern Tokyo. As soon as I stepped inside, the sounds of the city faded and I was surrounded by quiet ponds, arched bridges, and cherry trees blooming with delicate grace. The garden is designed to mirror famous scenic views from around Japan and China, so it has this refined, contemplative feel that’s perfect for slowing down. I spent over an hour just wandering from one vista to another, watching the koi swim beneath falling petals. It’s not packed like other Tokyo spots — more of a serene retreat than a party zone. I posted a photo of a pink blossom framed by a vermilion bridge with #cherryblossom25, and it instantly became one of my favorites from the trip.
