Tokyo's Tranquil Oasis - Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo

This summer in Tokyo, I found many hotels have become much more expensive. Rooms in Shinjuku and Shibuya easily cost over HKD 4,000 per night, but Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo was only around HKD 1,000, and the rooms were much bigger. In the end, I decided to stay at this classic hotel for five nights. The biggest downside is the transportation. The nearest subway station is Edogawabashi, which is a 10-minute walk uphill. Carrying shopping bags back can be really tiring. However, the route passes through an upscale residential area, very quiet and comfortable. There aren’t many dining options nearby; you have to walk to Gokokuji Station for more choices. But the advantages are countless. The rooms are over 45 square meters, decorated in a classic style but very well maintained, so it doesn’t feel old at all. The bathroom is super bright and spacious, with large L’Occitane bottles that are replenished daily. Taking a shower after returning to the hotel is very soothing. There’s also a turndown service at night, which adds a nice touch of ceremony. My favorite part is the garden. Stepping out onto the balcony, you’re surrounded by greenery. Taking a morning stroll and breathing in the fresh air instantly calms your mind. The whole hotel is very quiet, with no street or traffic noise, so you sleep especially well. For transportation, if you don’t want to walk, you can take a taxi directly to Ikebukuro Station. It costs about 1,600 yen one way, which is around HKD 70.
