Art Trip in Hakone: Explore the Narukawa Art Museum

#TokyoItinerary Day 1: The tone of my trip to Tokyo was set on the first day, with the goal of visiting the famous Hakone Narikawa Art Museum. In the morning, I took the Odakyu Line's express train and enjoyed the scenery along the way. The contrast between the mountains, rivers, lakes and the city through the window made me feel particularly happy. After arriving in Hakone, the fresh air and beautiful natural environment made me feel happy. I strolled around the museum, feeling the tranquility around me and looking forward to the art works I was about to see. After entering the art museum, the first thing that catches your eye is the spacious and bright exhibition hall. The design of the hall coexists harmoniously with the surrounding natural environment. The Narukawa Art Museum is renowned for its exquisite Japanese ceramics and modern artworks, and many of the works on display showcase the artist's unique interpretation of nature. In particular, the series of works with water as the theme made me feel how natural elements profoundly influence artistic creation. At noon, I enjoyed a bowl of light miso soup in the museum's cafe, paired with fresh local seasonal vegetables, which gave me a taste of Hakone. the next day: The next day, I decided to explore more of Hakone's other attractions. After a hearty breakfast, I returned to the art museum and took part in a guided tour on the theme of “Art and Nature”. The tour guide led us to appreciate each piece of art carefully and explore in depth the stories and creative concepts behind it, which gave me a deeper understanding and resonance of the works. Afterwards, I went to Hakone Shrine. This ancient shrine is located by the lake. The atmosphere is sacred and quiet. Strolling along the trail, I felt the weight of history and the beauty of nature. In the afternoon, I returned to the Hakone Narikawa Museum and explored the garden. The neatly trimmed trees and exquisite ponds in the garden seemed like an extension of art, allowing me to meditate quietly.
