Visit the Aoyama Museum to learn about the history of beni

I went to the Beni Museum in Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo! This is a museum about makeup and rouge run by Isehan Honten, a rouge store founded in the Edo period. Admission is free, and you can actually see dried rouge mixed with a brush soaked in water. You can also see exhibits of makeup methods and cosmetics from the Edo period to the early Showa period. #museum
