It's a relatively new boutique hotel in central Tokyo. For those avoiding touristy areas like Shinjuku, Kaminarimon, Ginza, and Ueno, Ryogoku is a great choice. The streets are cleaner, there are fewer tourists, and the overall environment is quiet, with convenient amenities. Right next to The Gate Hotel Ryogoku by HULIC, there's a LAWSON restaurant inside the APA Hotel, perfect for those late-night instant noodle snacks. The Gate Hotel Ryogoku is also newly decorated, with a sophisticated, modern, and urban feel. The staff are friendly and attentive, and any requests are promptly addressed. Their breakfast is highly recommended, offering a 5-star hotel experience. You can choose a main course, such as French toast. For Eggs Benedict or a traditional Japanese breakfast, the French toast is highly recommended. You can clearly tell the toast has been soaked in milk and egg for a long time to achieve its tenderness. The rich cream and honey make it truly five-star hotel-quality. While waiting for the main course, you can enjoy the all-you-can-eat meal, which includes freshly squeezed juice, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pasta, salad, and grilled vegetables. The highlight is the honeycomb. Digging into the honeycomb and pairing it with the yogurt creates a delightful blend of sweet and sour flavors. The restaurant is located right by the Sumida River, and you can choose to dine outdoors while enjoying the view – a true delight. The room was very clean, fully stocked, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all high-quality. My hair felt soft and the fragrance of the body wash lingered even afterward. The mattress was perfectly firm and the curtains provided excellent light blocking. Those who enjoy sleeping don't have to worry about being woken by the sun. This boutique hotel chain, The Gate Hotel, features a small rooftop courtyard offering panoramic views of the city. The hotel also has a bar open only in the evenings, so lazing in the sun in the courtyard during the day is a relaxing experience. On the first floor of the hotel is the Sumida River cruise service, where you can book your trip and enjoy the river views. Weekdays offer much lower prices. Keep an eye on booking websites for frequent discounts. For a hotel of this caliber and its relative newness, the price is reasonable and represents excellent value. I've stayed here twice and look forward to returning.
