Yushima Tenmangu Shrine in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Reiwa 6 Yushima Tenmangu Shrine Annual Festival 2024/5/25 Festival/Shinkosai Festival 2024/5/26 Joint Miya Mikoshi/Neighborhood Mikoshi Procession 2024 is the main festival (every 4 years) The Shinkosai Festival was held, where the main shrine mikoshi and horen (four-yearly shrine) paraded around the area in a large procession. The procession was quite long, and we could even see the sacred horse. It was quite impressive when it went through the narrow roads due to the distance. There were also many stalls and offerings of white plum taiko drums in the precincts, so we were able to enjoy the festival to the fullest!
