Oriental temple: Tsukiji Honganji

Tsukiji Honganji is within walking distance from Ginza and Tsukiji. This is a Jodo Shinshu temple, and the beauty of the main hall is astonishing. It doesn't look like an ancient Japanese building, but rather has an oriental image of Buddhism being introduced via the Silk Road. 90% of the visitors are tourists, and there are many foreigners. They have pamphlets in English and Chinese, so they are also catering to foreign visitors. I went there in late April, and the azaleas were beautiful. Whether you're a Buddhist, an architecture lover, or a tourist, why not go and see it at least once? If you do, be sure to try the breakfast.
