Marvelous Porcelain House in Tianjin

Location: China Porcelain House Museum, Tianjin, China Date: May 4, 2021 Porcelain House, also known as China house, is a contemporary museum of pottery and antiques in Tianjin. The house is originally a French style villa with a history of over 100 years. The museum is located in a historical colonial building. About 80 percent of the porcelain used to cover the house comes from broken or damaged antiques, but the eccentric collector mixed up the different fragments and pasted them on the walls in such a way to conceal the damaged parts. In fact, most of them look intact. The outside of the wall is decorated by vases, and they are called "Walls of Peace". Because "vase" sounds like "peace" in Chinese, the designers used vases to wish for peace and safety. The house was open to the public on September 3rd, 2007. Since then it has become a landmark in Tianjin. The house is so extraordinary that it has no parallel in the world. It’s very beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Because it’s a tourist attraction, so it’s usually very crowded. So you can admire the view from outside. #tianjin #porcelainhouse #porcelain #vases #attraction #passionpassport #traveling
