Jingyuan: A Historical Residence in Tianjin

Jingyuan, located in Tianjin, China, was built in 1921 and served as the residence of Puyi, the last emperor of China. Originally named Qianyuan, it was renamed Jingyuan when Puyi lived there with his empress Wanrong and consort Wenxiu from 1929 to 1931. The architectural style of Jingyuan combines elements of Spanish residential design with features of traditional Chinese and Japanese wooden structures, making it a testament to Puyi's time in Tianjin. Situated in the former Japanese concession, Jingyuan lives up to its name, "Quiet Garden," as it is nestled in a serene and ordinary alley.
