I pack light and explore the streets and alleys to discover this culturally rich county. Xijingyu Village is located in Fujun Mountain, 5 km from downtown Jizhou. My walking route: enter from the east entrance and exit from the west entrance. The mountain road from Fujun Mountain to the village entrance is about 2.5 km, where you can enjoy the scenery and overlook Jizhou. If you are from out of town, it is recommended to park your car at the foot of the mountain during peak season and walk the whole way. If you want to stay, there are various homestays and restaurants on the mountain. Xijingyu Village has a large number of stone courtyard buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties and the Republic of China period. The buildings are often made of local materials and built with "dry stone" construction techniques, forming a unique mountain stone building complex. Xijingyu Village was named a Chinese historical and cultural village in 2010 and was included in the list of Chinese traditional villages in 2012. The plaque of "Xijingyu Folk Photography Village" was inscribed by Mr. Feng Jicai.
