Panshan Scenic Area, a renowned destination in China where natural and cultural landscapes blend seamlessly, attracts countless visitors with its magnificent mountains and waters, ancient temples, and rich historical culture. Upon entering this scenic area, the first thing that catches the eye is the rolling mountain ranges, dotted with peculiar peaks and rocks, shrouded in mist, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Whether you are looking out from a high vantage point or strolling through the mountains, the natural beauty of Panshan allows you to appreciate the extraordinary craftsmanship of nature. Panshan has long been praised with the saying, 'If you know Panshan, why go south of the Yangtze?' Here, mountains and waters depend on each other, and the scenery varies distinctly across the four seasons. During my visit in autumn, the mountains were covered with red leaves, resembling a sea of fire, contrasting sharply with the verdant peaks, making one marvel at the colorful and splendid nature. Besides its natural beauty, Panshan is also famous for its Buddhist culture, housing several ancient temples, the most notable being Wansong Temple and Tiancheng Temple. These temples are hidden in the dense forests, with thriving incense and a serene, ancient ambiance. As you pass by these temples while climbing the mountain, hearing the distant sound of bells and seeing devout believers praying, a sense of tranquility and peace naturally arises in your heart, as if you are in a paradise on earth. This trip to Panshan was both a physical challenge and a spiritual purification. The majestic grandeur of Panshan and the ancient tranquility of the temples complement each other, allowing one to appreciate the beauty of nature while also achieving mental calm and release.
