Doi Pha Tang

Doi Pha Tang is a famous tourist destination in Chiang Rai Province, located in the Por Subdistrict, Wiang Kaen District, Chiang Rai Province. Doi Pha Tang is a peak in the Luang Prabang mountain range. The watershed ridge marks the boundary between Thailand and Laos. It is renowned for its sunrise and sea of mist in the morning and sunset views in the evening. The peak stands at approximately 1,800 meters above sea level. The hiking trail to the summit is about 700 meters long and starts near the parking area and service shops. From the summit, you can see the Mekong River on the Laos side and have a clear view of Phu Chi Fa peak, which is over 25 kilometers away.
