#weekendgetaways in #indonesia , #yogyakarta ! I went on Sunday and it was an impromptu trip to the newest Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) located at Kulonprogo. It's my first time in this city and I have to do some research on it. This place is super far from city, so we have to take express train towards city. Welcomed by many artistic things and decoration, I can feel this city rich tradition. From its andong display, to the signboard which is still in sanskrit that bring me back towards historical story of old kingdom. The airport is connected with train station which we can just walk around it. Ticket cost Rp 20,000 or Rp 50,000; the difference is just about 1 stop, cheaper price will stop at Wates station for a while while the expensive one will go directly towards city. Do note that you have to book faster before its out of stock! Otherwise, travel by taxi will be longer and way more expensive!
