#MarchGoodPlaces2025 When we arrived in Taoyuan, we discovered that there were quite a few parks of all sizes in the city. We visited no less than five parks in Taoyuan city and we specifically searched for them. The density of parks in Taoyuan city is probably the highest in Taiwan! I guess. In order to collect roller slides all over Taiwan, I took advantage of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday to bring the children from Pingtung to Taoyuan to play on roller slides. Fenghe Park is quite large compared to the urban area. The environment and planning design are of quite high standard, with designs such as pond arch bridge, forest boardwalk, children's play area, performance plaza, service center, etc. The purpose of our visit was to slide on the roller slide, and we found someone selling roller plastic cushions nearby. We bought five cushions of different colors for one hundred yuan without saying a word. You could rent them before at Chiayi's Ziyun Temple. The Hamashing roller slide in Kaohsiung will provide mats after you buy a ticket, but there are no such mats in other places and you need to prepare them yourself. So I bought it and I don’t have to worry about sliding down the roller slide with my butt when I go to play on it. I really like Fenghe Park. It is very comfortable to visit and not noisy. It is one of the few parks of high quality that I have visited in Taiwan. I don’t know how long this park has been in use. Some of the facilities in the children’s playground are still surrounded by ropes. It may be a newly added venue, or the park may have been built not long ago. No matter how hard it is to see the kids having fun, it’s worth it for parents to drive a long way.
