Sicily. An island full of wonders. An Italian diamond

Sicily 🇮🇹 There is so much to do and soooo much to eat in this fantastic island that it is impossible to do everything or taste all the yummy local delicacies in just over a week. Anyway, I love #sicily - I love #sicilianfood - I love #siciliansea and I love the #sicilianstyle I really liked #taormina town, a bit touristic, but a wonderful gem 💎. I particularly liked the Greek/Roman theatre that is still very much in use these days. The theatre is jaw dropping and at the back of it you can see the #etna volcano, still active, still kicking. #syracuse and its unesco world heritage island of #ortigia is another really pretty town to visit and try seafood and freshly squeezed pomegranate juice. #modica is little town down south of Sicily famous for its chocolate (that incredibly doesn’t melt at all) that is still worth a visit. In there I tried a typical #sicilianbreakfast with granita, brioche and fresh almond milk (made with local almonds). #agrigento town and its Greek style temples are something out of this world! I was so impressed by the #valleyofthetemples! it’s hard to look at those beautiful temples and believe that you are still in Italy. #marsala and #marsalasaltflats in the west park of Sicily is another incredible part of the island worth a visit, and finally #palermo and its fisherman town neighbour of #cefalù, over there you have beautiful water and wonderful beaches! And the food!!!! OMG 😱 #cannoli #arancini #cassate #granite #gelato and so on. I have probably put on a few kilos just in a week here 😂 But it’s worth it 😃 I could go on forever, and I didn’t even visit all the other beautiful places I during this trip in Sicily. I think you need to take a few months off to experience everything down here 😅 Sicily is a pure diamond 🥰 #cefalu
