Most trips to Tangyin include the Yue Fei Temple and Youli Castle Site, but the county's museum is also worth a visit. It is currently a National Third-Class Museum. The new museum officially opened in July 2020 and houses over 600 cultural relics. The exhibition level is acceptable. The treasure of the museum is the Zhufan Sword of the King of Wu, which is cast with a 28-character inscription and is the only known sword used by Zhufan himself. (Unfortunately, I didn't see it because the exhibit was on loan.) The museum is free to enter. The entrance is on the back of the library. Scan your ID card at the front desk to get a ticket for entry (it's been a while since I've seen a physical ticket). Tangyin has shared electric bikes, so you can ride from the Yue Fei Temple. The tour takes about an hour.

Hangzhou is where Yue Fei was killed, and the Hangzhou Yue Fei Temple commemorates his death. Yue Fei Temple, originally named Jingzhong Temple, is located at No. 84, Yue Temple Street, Tangyin County, Anyang City, Henan Province. It was built by the people to commemorate the national hero Yue Fei. Yue Fei, courtesy name Pengju, was a native of Tangyin and a famous general of the Song Dynasty. He was born in the second year of Chongning in the Northern Song Dynasty (1103) and was wrongfully executed in the 11th year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1142). In the first year of Longxing (1163), he was exonerated. He was posthumously awarded the titles of King Wumu, King of E, and King Zhongwu. The temple was built in the first year of Jingtai in the Ming Dynasty (1450) and has been repaired several times. It now has more than 90 rooms, including Jingzhong Archway, Imperial Stele Pavilion, Main Hall, East and West Wing Rooms, and Sleeping Hall, and nearly 200 steles from different dynasties. It is valuable for the study of architecture and calligraphy, and especially for patriotic education. In 1958, the Yue Fei Memorial Hall was established, and in 1963, the original Provincial People's Committee announced it as the first batch of cultural relics protection units in Henan Province. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the people's government allocated funds for renovation several times. This is also the place where King Wen deduced 64 hexagrams and 384 lines based on the eight trigrams of Fuxi, that is, the holy place where "King Wen was detained and performed Zhouyi". [Four] Youlicheng is a cultural site rich in Longshan to Shang and Zhou periods, with 7 meters thick Longshan culture and Shang and Zhou cultural relics.
