Longnan's 'Little Jiuzhai'—Guane Valley

Gansu Guane Valley National Forest Park is located in the suburbs of Dangchang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province. It consists of core tourist areas such as Guanzhu Valley, Eman Valley, and Leigu Mountain. The Gansu Guane Valley National Forest Park has a coverage rate of 75.1%. The park is home to 4 national first-class protected animals, 23 national second-class protected animals, and over 700 species of plants from more than 50 families. There are more than 20 lakes of various shapes and over 10 waterfalls. The scenic area's characteristic folk villages such as Luren Ancient Village, Yinping Village, and Xinping Village are well preserved. In 2003, Guane Valley was rated as a National Forest Park. In 2007, it was rated as a National 4A Tourist Attraction. In 2014, it was rated as a National Geopark. In July 2022, Guane Valley was designated as a National 5A Tourist Attraction.
