[Yubu Island: Full of buffalo]

. When you hear the word "water buffalo," you may imagine riding a water buffalo cart on Taketomi Island while listening to an old man play the sanshin, but there are actually a lot of them on Yubu Island. I thought it was unusual to have so many water buffaloes everywhere on an island. Everyone was relaxing in the water of the pond, and it looked like they were soaking in a hot spring. Maybe they work in shifts, and they alternate their work as water buffalos in the morning and afternoon. You can get pretty close, so I took some great shots with my SLR. You can also see the buffaloes breathing and trembling their ears, which you can only hear up close.
