The art works in the museum are not limited to the museum, but also spread throughout the surrounding environment and nature outside the museum. Personally, I feel that it is worth spending more time at the Belleson House to appreciate it slowly. ~Yayoi Kusama Yellow Pumpkin is another landmark attraction on Naoshima. It is located on the small pier outside Benesse house. Tourists who come to Naoshima will come here specifically to take pictures and check in. It is said that after Yayoi Kusama placed the yellow pumpkin here, Naoshima gradually transformed into an art island. Village area: ~Home Project, this attraction is quite special, it is composed of 7 exhibition combinations, all of which are transformed from abandoned houses, shrines, and temples. Artists add artistic elements to the old life traces of Naoshima residents and then make them into exhibits for display. The seven exhibitions are "Kadoya", "Nanji Temple", "Kinza", "Goojinja Shrine", "Ishibashi", "Go Club", and "Haishiya". Among them, Nanji Temple is the most popular because it was built by Tadao Ando. Its exterior is very special, and the experience inside is also very special. Photography is not allowed inside the South Temple. We had to walk in the dark inside the temple until we came to a bench and sat down. Of course, there were staff members reminding us to be careful at the corners as we walked. We sat there until a large, glowing screen appeared in front of us, and then followed the instructions to go onto the screen. This experience takes about 15 minutes. Another place worth visiting is the Goo Shrine, which is the most famous work of architect and photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto. However, the shrine is located in a remote area and requires walking up a slope. After arriving at the exhibition area, we will first see the renovated shrine, with steps paved with transparent rubber and white stone springs on the side. Going down further, you will reach a small stone chamber. The staff will provide flashlights for lighting, and there are transparent stairs inside. When you leave the stone chamber, you will see a narrow corridor leading to an open space, where you can see a large expanse of the Setouchi Sea, which is very picturesque.
