Donghe Tribe-Taiwan

On the east coast of Taiwan, there is a hidden little corner - the Donghe Tribe. I have eaten the famous Donghe steamed buns, but I have never gotten to know Donghe in depth. I accidentally drove past this place and decided to stop for a while, get out of the car and walk around to get to know this small village. There were only a few cars in the huge parking lot next to the old Donghe Bridge, but several welcoming monkeys were politely dispatched on the bridge pier to greet us: "Guest, do you want to visit the Donghe tribe? Please come in," the monkeys greeted, and I imagined this scenario and walked into the village. Every house in the tribe exudes a strong aboriginal style. The colorful paintings on the wall tell the legends of ancestors and details of daily life. It seems as if time has stopped here, making people want to stop and savor them. In these stories, I can feel the residents’ love and respect for the land, and their dedication to inheritance. The coastline of Donghe River is equally charming when viewed from afar, with endless blue and green interlaced, the waves gently lapping against the shore, and quietly gazing in the direction of the sea. The backs of people riding bicycles in the wind on the road and people hiking around the island seem to be searching for answers deep in their hearts. There are many unique small B&Bs here, as well as several surfing B&Bs in Surfers Paradise. I heard that there will be an international surfing competition at the end of this year! I must come back to see it again. The laughter of the children in the tribe lingers in the air. The old people sit under the trees, repeating stories of the past and the future, passing on precious cultural memories. Although they may live their entire lives in this small tribe, as long as they hold a love for the land in their hearts, life will bloom with the most beautiful brilliance. Donghe tribe, this land, deeply attracts everyone with its natural beauty and cultural value. Whenever I leave here, I will carry its scent with me in my heart. I hope that in my future journeys, it will always remind me to cherish every moment in front of me and dance with this land.
