A Journey from Ancient to Modern Times: Dadaocheng

After the opening of the Tamsui Port, Dadaocheng became Taipei's most prosperous distribution center, primarily focused on the trade of tea and fabric. Although traditional industries have declined, and Dadaocheng's glory days have faded, Dihua Street remains a hub for these traditional trades: tea, Chinese medicinal herbs, local goods, and fabric. Today, Dadaocheng, combining tradition with cultural creativity, has become a new hotspot for tourism, leisure, and cultural heritage. The century-old tea factory we visited this time, Youji Famous Tea, has bravely embraced innovation and tradition, avoiding being swept away by trends. It is now a haven for tea novices and connoisseurs alike.
