Return to NTU | A spring-only look back at youth🌱

#台北之旅 Spring in Taipei is like an elusive dream, with rain and sunshine alternating. Taking advantage of the sunny day, I walked out of the house aimlessly with anticipation in my heart, and my thoughts involuntarily drifted to a place that could not be more familiar - my alma mater, National Taiwan University. As soon as I stepped into the gate of National Taiwan University, memories of the past came flooding back like a tide. Although new teaching buildings have sprung up like mushrooms in recent years, the deep-rooted sense of familiarity has never changed. Coconut Grove Avenue still looks the same as I remember, with tall and straight coconut trees arranged neatly. The sunlight shines through the gaps between the branches and leaves, casting a mottled light and shadow on the ground, as if telling the story of the years. Walking on this avenue, I seemed to see the youthful self again, laughing and playing with classmates, and rushing to one youth feast after another. The new general library stands there quietly, carrying the struggles and dreams of countless days and nights. I still remember the days when I studied hard in the library for exams and papers. Every page I turned and every time I wandered and searched among the bookshelves became an indispensable footnote of my youth. The greenhouse and atrium of the Horticulture Department are like a paradise hidden on campus. In the greenhouse, all kinds of rare plants grow lushly and exude vigorous vitality; in the atrium, flowers bloom alternately with the changing seasons, and those touches of brilliant colors decorate the dreams of youth. Every corner here bears traces of our exploration of nature and pursuit of knowledge. In fact, there are so many familiar places on campus, and each one contains a precious memory. If I were to take serious photos and record them, I'm afraid even 100 photos would not be enough to capture the weight of my past (laughs). Leaving NTU on a UBIKE and riding on the streets of Taipei is another kind of pleasant experience. Taipei's well-planned bicycle lanes make cycling an extremely pleasant experience. You no longer have to worry about being disturbed by messy vendors, nor do you have to worry about parking on the sidewalks. Such an excellent cycling environment seems to be the unique romance of Taipei, and it is hard to find once you leave this city. On this spring day, this reunion with NTU has allowed me to regain the warmth of my youth.
