Having frequented Hilton establishments across Southeast Asia, I must declare that the room interiors here surpassed all expectations. Despite being a small hotel, the room boasted an expansive bathroom and vanity area, complete with a bidet-equipped toilet, rejuvenating bathtub, invigorating rain shower, and the luxury of 24/7 hot water. The bedroom, twice the size of the bathroom, featured a plush king-sized bed, a charming dining table, and a comfortable lounge sofa. Opting for a corner room at the rear of the hotel provided a serene and private ambiance, shielding us from the hustle and bustle of the main road. The room's generosity extended to amenities such as a convenient coffee machine, an abundance of bottled waters, and the signature warm welcome – a delectable walnut and chocolate cookie, a hallmark of Hilton's hospitality. The staffs were all friendly and attentive. To commemorate my birthday, they thoughtfully prepared a personalized card and a delightful cake. As an added treat, all guests are entitled to a complimentary breakfast, offering an à la carte buffet featuring both Western and Asian options. The Asian mains, offering choices like porridge, rice, or the chef's special of the day, added a delightful touch to the breakfast experience. The buffet spread also included an array of bread, cereals, salads, and beverages. While not a fervent breakfast enthusiast, I found myself drawn to the mini croissants and an array of tantalizing drink options. Beyond the confines of the hotel, its strategic location between two major train lines. A nearby bus stop conveniently connected us to the food district. Surrounding the hotel, a plethora of Japanese culinary delights awaited exploration. For those inclined towards retail therapy, the esteemed Qsquare and Eslite Spectrum Nanxi shopping malls beckoned with their treasures, just a leisurely stroll away. All in all, my stay at DoubleTree was an epitome of comfort, elegance, and thoughtful hospitality. The hotel's proximity to key transportation hubs and notable attractions made it an ideal choice for both seasoned travelers and those seeking a memorable introduction to this country.
