TWO michelin stars ⭐️⭐️ in Taipei

#timetotravel Since I’m in Taipei and they have recently won their second michelin star, I visited the Taipei Robuchon for dinner. As compared with HK, the Taipei branch allows BYOB and is overall much cheaper. I ordered the MENU B, which is priced at $2380 NTD (~$586 HKD). This set menu includes an Amuse Bouche, 2 appetisers, 1 main course, 1 dessert and 1 coffee or tea. The Amuse Bouche served was a cold tomato soup, something like a gazpacho (pic 3). I recently came back from Spain and had yet gotten over Gazpacho, so this was perfect for me. The first appetiser was a Turban of spaghetti (pic 4). To make this dish, it is definitely tedious as you need to line a savarin mold with spaghetti and the preparation can take days. As I am doing more research, I realised L’Atelier does not normally serve the Turban dish so I got really lucky!! The second appetiser was “Organic egg on golden seared rice cake” (pic 5). This dish sounds so simple yet so good. The main course was a fish dish, that has a taste of shellfish. (silly me I do not remember the name of the dish…) To end the meal, the dessert was a raspberry dish with sorbet.
