One of the Three Ancient Temples in Hong Kong

Lingyun Temple is one of the three ancient temples in Hong Kong. It is the only ancient temple among the three that is managed by nuns. The temple has witnessed the history of Buddhism in Hong Kong, established the first Buddhist college for women in Hong Kong, and pioneered the practice of ordination in Hong Kong. Currently, it serves as a place of pure cultivation for women. The temple adheres to its traditional rules, promotes Buddhism, and uses Buddhist principles to guide and educate devotees and visitors in need. Regular activities such as scripture lectures, meditation, chanting, and repentance ceremonies are held.
