If you bring your kids to Suzhou, follow my guide for a unique experience! - ✅Two-day, one-night itinerary Saturday: Check in at Four Points by Sheraton Suzhou Wuzhong at noon 🏨➡️ Enjoy afternoon tea picnic basket at the hotel 🏨➡️ Visit Pan Gate Scenic Area➡️ Enjoy lobster buffet at the hotel➡️ Explore Shantang Street➡️ Drink craft beer at Best Brews in the hotel lobby + enjoy barbecue while watching performances➡️ Sunday: Sleep in, have brunch➡️ Enjoy the hotel's kids' playground, gym, and e-sports bar➡️ Head home~ - ✅Travel tips The Pan Gate Scenic Area is definitely worth visiting with kids! I researched it beforehand, but experiencing it in person was completely different! The towering city walls, the small gate embodying "one man guards the pass, ten thousand cannot get through," the barbican, and the water-land double gates... "The North has the Great Wall, the South has Pan Gate" - truly lives up to its reputation! Amazing! In the evening, we went to Shantang Street, a typical Jiangnan watertown scene with beautiful night lights! The gentle side of Jiangnan~ - ✅Accommodation and dining 1⃣️ We stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Suzhou Wuzhong, which is close to all attractions and convenient for subway and taxi travel. Besides Pan Gate and Shantang Street, Double Pagoda Market, Wu Culture Museum, Master of Nets Garden, and Canglang Pavilion are all nearby. (But the kids were too tired, so we'll plan for these next time) 2⃣️ Suzhou has many snacks, but we were too full from hotel dining to try them! The hotel's themed buffet with 25 flavors of crayfish 🦞 was especially amazing - every flavor you could want! - ✅Important reminders ⏰ 1⃣️ If you have small children, don't forget a stroller - bring a lightweight one as there are many steps. 2⃣️ Bring sun protection as most attractions are outdoors. 3⃣️ Learn about Pan Gate's history with your children beforehand - it will enhance the experience! 4⃣️ On Saturdays, Shantang Street is extremely crowded at night 🌃 - be prepared to wait in lines~ 5⃣️ The hotel has free EV charging stations and NIO battery swap stations, making it perfect for road trips! - Suzhou is really worth visiting with kids~ Our schedule was a bit tight this time, but we plan to stay at the Sheraton again during summer vacation for a longer trip!
