A must-stay hotel in Suzhou!

Renaissance Suzhou Wujiang Hotel: A relaxing lakeside retreat with convenient transportation During the Spring Festival holiday, I went to the ancient towns in Wujiang, Suzhou and Huzhou. When I was looking for hotels nearby, I found that even budget hotels cost 400–500 yuan. Then I saw that Renaissance Suzhou Wujiang Hotel in Shengze was only 500+ yuan, so I booked it without hesitation. This stay gave me a deep impression of this hotel. 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness The hotel has good soundproofing, which effectively blocks out external noise and creates a quiet environment for me to rest. The hotel is also very clean, with the rooms and public areas kept tidy and neat, making my stay very comfortable. 🏘️Room Type/Layout I booked a basic room. I thought the occupancy rate would be high during the Spring Festival holiday, so I didn't expect to be upgraded as a humble Platinum member. To my surprise, the day before check-in, I checked the app and found that the hotel had generously upgraded me to an executive lake view suite, which was a pleasant surprise. The suite is located in the northwest corner of each floor, facing the lake. The living room has a guest bathroom, and the bedroom has a spacious bathroom. The hotel has been open for more than ten years, and although the facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained and do not affect the overall living experience. 🛌Amenities/Facilities The room is well-equipped, with comfortable bedding and a well-designed bathtub that prevents slipping. The hotel also has a state-of-the-art gym and a clear indoor heated pool to meet fitness and leisure needs. Although the hotel does not have a dedicated lounge, afternoon tea is served in the lobby bar, and happy hour is held in a hall on the first floor. During the New Year, you can upgrade to a buffet dinner on the third floor for an additional 80 yuan, but the quality of the buffet needs improvement, such as the small amount of meat in the roast duck rolls. The breakfast the next day was not very varied, but it met basic needs. 💰Per Capita Consumption The price was 500+ yuan when I stayed, which is very cost-effective considering the hotel's level and services. Dining costs vary from person to person, such as an additional 80 yuan for an upgraded buffet dinner, but overall consumption is reasonable. 💗Other Tips The hotel is not far from Shengze Station on the Shanghai-Suzhou-Huzhou High-speed Railway, and rooms facing the lake have a view of the high-speed railway in the distance. It costs more than 20 yuan to take a taxi to Zhenze Ancient Town, and there are also Lili Ancient Town and Nanxun Ancient Town nearby, both about 20 minutes away by car, making it very convenient to travel. If you plan to visit the surrounding ancient towns, plan your itinerary in advance and communicate any special needs with the hotel in advance, and you may get a better service experience.
