Winter in Suzhou, Lanxue Hall in the Humble Administrator's Garden

The Humble Administrator's Garden is located at No. 178, Northeast Street, Gusu District, Suzhou. It takes only a few minutes to get here by taxi from Suzhou High-speed Railway Station. The first thing you see at the street entrance is the Suzhou Museum. Unfortunately, we didn't make a reservation, so we had to leave it for our next trip to Suzhou. The entire Humble Administrator's Garden covers an area of 52,000 square meters, including the Garden Museum. The main garden area has one main entrance and two exits. Walking along the wide stone road, there is a high wall courtyard on one side, and a cultural and creative shop and a clear river on the other side. Although it is winter, there are still many visitors because it is the weekend. After entering, you will pass through the courtyard and reach the first must-see spot: Lanxue Hall. There are several armchairs and carved wooden window lattices inside. When the sunlight shines through the window, the window flowers are printed on the wall, which is quite artistic. The name of Lanxue Hall is taken from the great poet Li Bai's poem "Standing alone between heaven and earth, the breeze sprinkles orchid snow". This was originally the site of the Ming Dynasty's Return to the Field. After leaving Lanxue Hall, you can walk on both sides. In front of you is a lake, and the building standing by the lake is Furong Pavilion. The pavilion is an ancient architectural form, which is formed by the surrounding scenery. The form is flexible and changeable. Half of the Furong Pavilion is built on the shore, and the other half extends to the water. It is built on the water, standing by the water, beautiful and graceful. Many tourists passing by the roadside are wearing ancient costumes, as if they have traveled to the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
