A representative relic of Suwon from the Joseon Dynasty

This fortress was built in the late Joseon period and is famous for being constructed using a crane designed by Jeong Yak-yong. Although it is a restored heritage, it is also well-known for being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site thanks to the existence of the Hwaseong Seongyeok Uigwe. Putting aside such historical facts, it is wonderful to walk along the fortress walls at sunset on a nice day. There are also many beautiful restaurants and cafes nearby, making it a great date spot.
