Its capital is located at the site of the Sukhothai Historical Park, which has now become the ruins of the kingdom. The historical park was listed as a World Cultural Heritage in 1991. Sukhothai Historical Park is divided into three areas: the Central Area: with Wat Mahathat, Wat Sisawat, Wat Sasi, etc.; the Northern Area: with Wat Sichang, Wat Phra Kaew, etc.; the Western Area: with Wat Saphan Hin, etc. The entrance fee for each of the three areas is 150 baht (previously 100 baht). The most popular way to visit the park is to rent a bicycle. There are some bicycle trails in the park, all of which are relatively flat.
