Singapore's national flower is a hybrid orchid called Vanda Miss Joaquim. This hardy orchid, which can bloom at any time, was officially selected as Singapore's national flower on April 15, 1981. It was selected by an official committee from 40 flowers, including 30 varieties of orchids, as the national flower. ⭐️ The National Orchid Garden in the Botanic Gardens has the largest orchid display in the world, with approximately 60,000 plants and orchids, over 1,000 different species, and 2,000 hybrid orchids on display. What makes it unique is that the orchid display area has four separate gorgeous color zones, each with complementary color blends to symbolize the four seasons. 🚶‍♀️ If you plan to visit the Botanic Gardens and Orchid Garden, you can take the subway to the Botanic Gardens subway station and then walk about 20 minutes to the Tanglin Gate entrance of the garden. 🚕 However, if you are specifically coming to see the orchids, it is recommended to take a cab directly to the National Orchid Garden (the cab will drop you off at Nassim Gate.
