Silicon Dreams: A High-Tech Adventure

I visited Silicon Valley for one day from San Francisco. I stopped by in the order of Intel headquarters, Apple headquarters, Computer History Museum, Google headquarters, Birthplace of Silicon Valley(a.k.a HP Garage), and Stanford University. The key takeaways are the importance of establishing dense clusters of innovative companies, supported by top universities like Stanford, driving rapid technological development and innovation. Not only the proximity, the open networks, and a culture of risk-taking and collaboration made the area successful which was also mentioned by AnnaLee Saxenian’s “Regional Development”.
