Museum treasure ~ Chu Culture Museum

Shou County Museum was established in October 1958 and is one of the earliest museums in the province. Shou County is a national historical and cultural city, formerly known as Shouchun, Shouyang, and Shouzhou. In history, the State of Zhou, the State of Cai, the State of Chu, the State of Huainan in the Western Han Dynasty, and the State of Fuling in the Eastern Han Dynasty successively established their capitals here. It is the birthplace of tofu and the ancient battlefield of the Battle of Feishui. It is famous for its large number of unearthed cultural relics, high level, and rich variety, and is known as the "underground museum". In January 2022, it was officially approved to be renamed Anhui Chu Culture Museum (Shou County Museum), with more than 10,000 sets of cultural relics, including more than 700 sets of Chu cultural relics, 230 sets of national first-class cultural relics, and more than 2,200 sets of cultural relics above the third level. The treasures of the museum include: Warring States Chu gold coins, Northern Song Dynasty gold coffin, Eastern Han Dynasty eight-dragon gold belt buckle, Warring States "Yue Wang Zhe Zhi Yu Ci" sword, Spring Sheep Head Bronze Zun, "Yingzhou Kaiyuan Temple" large bronze bell, Eastern Han Dynasty "Yuanhe Second Year" gilt silver mythical beast engraved bronze boat, etc.
