It usually blooms from around mid-April to late April, and it is often at its peak about a week later than in Morioka City. The collaboration between the residual snow and cherry blossoms of Mt. Komaga makes you feel the arrival of spring. There are about 150 Somei Yoshino trees that were planted about 40 years ago. It is planted in two rows along the lakeside embankment for about 1.5 km, and at the peak, the rich branches create a pink tunnel as if they were covering the sky.
