[Tokyo] Kashima Shrine, the guardian deity of Oi Village

Kashima Shrine 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Kashima Shrine is located in Oi, Shinagawa Ward. The deity worshipped is Takemikazuchi no Kami. Founded in 969. A branch of the deity was enshrined from Kashima Jingu Shrine, the head shrine of Kashima, the Ichinomiya of Hitachi Province. It was enshrined as the main guardian deity of the former Oi village. The grounds include a 200-year-old tabunoki tree and an oak tree that is over 200 years old. It is a place full of nature surrounded by trees. When I visited, the annual festival was taking place, and there were many stalls and it was bustling.
