I just discovered this amazing place to take kids! Here's my one-day itinerary!

I stumbled upon this gorgeous spot, a favorite among locals for short trips! I'm so glad I skipped the crowded city attractions. I drove out to the suburbs of Shenyang and found this gem of a place, perfect for kids! It's even a filming location for the movie🎬 *My People, My Homeland*. The rice paddy art here is truly stunning, with blue skies, white clouds, rice paddies🌾, and a little train—perfect for photos. 🌟One-Day Itinerary ▫️I recommend buying a train ticket and hopping off at each stop. There are five stops in total. You can get on and off at each stop, but the train doesn't go backward, so I suggest exploring each stop as you go. ▫️What to do at each stop: 1⃣️Stop 1: Children's Playground Here, kids can catch shrimp, feed fish, and interact with various animals. There are several paid activities, so choose what you like. It's perfect for kids, and you can spend about half an hour here. 2⃣️Stop 2: Rice Dream Photography Studio You can get your makeup and hair done here, and the studio offers professional photography services🎬. This stop allows you to walk into the rice paddies for photos. It's not a large area, so you can quickly take some pictures and move on. The little train comes by frequently. 3⃣️Stop 3: Xibo Square There's a square here with a raffle in the afternoon. You'll get a raffle ticket when you exchange your entry ticket, and you can collect your prize at the exit. We won a jar of beef sauce! There's also a tower you can climb for panoramic views. The rice paddy art looks absolutely amazing from above! The tower is a great photo spot! Don't forget to try the brown rice ice cream🍦 for 5 yuan each at the square. 4⃣️Stop 4: Rice Fragrance Food Court Grab a bite to eat here. Further inside, you can collect eggs🥚 for 2 yuan each. There are also many small animals here. Even further in is the fruit picking area, but we didn't go there because it was too hot. 5⃣️Stop 5: Dream Fulfillment Tower This is the famous filming location for the movie. You can even take a photo at the same spot as actress Ma Li, haha. Climbing the tower again offers different views of the rice paddy art, each one just as breathtaking🫨. 🔚At the exit, each ticket holder gets a one-jin bag of rice! There's also 🆓 porridge or rice noodles to sample! ✔️Tips ▫️In summer, remember to take mosquito repellent and sunscreen. The UV rays in northern China are strong. ▫️There are many parking lots. If the closest one is full, drive further ahead. They're all free. If you end up parking far away, there's a 🆓 shuttle bus. ▫️It gets really crowded on weekends and holidays, so go early if you want to avoid the crowds! ▫️There's a water play area, so bring extra clothes for the kids. ▫️There are small cabins along the road where you can rest. They're perfect for naps💤, especially if you have a baby. ▫️It's best to go on a cool day, as there's little shade. 🏖️Rice Dream Space 📍Address: Xingguang Village, Shenbei New District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province 🎫Tickets: 68 yuan per person, free for student ID holders (not sure when this offer ends) 🅿️Parking: Free ✔️Zhongjie Street After Rice Dream Space, we went to Zhongjie Street for a city walk and some food. It's quite crowded there, so hold on to your little ones. ✔️Fengtian Restaurant We found a Northeastern restaurant in Joy City Mall that serves authentic local cuisine. They even have a kids' menu, which is great for families. ✔️Don't miss the Shenyang night market! The chicken frames are incredibly delicious. Shenyang is known for its chicken frames, and for good reason! The sweet and spicy flavor is amazing!
