From the guesthouse to Jiuzi Lake, it takes about 1 hour covering 34 km. The map shows two routes: the first route is free (as shown in figure 18) and doesn't require an entrance ticket, though it's slightly longer. The second route goes through Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and takes about 50 minutes but requires a CNY 100 entrance fee. Jiuzi Lake: Named after nine natural pools in the basin, legend has it that these pools were formed when the Mu family chieftains of the Ming Dynasty excavated soil for tile-making. Highlights of the attraction: From May to November, dozens of primrose species bloom in succession, creating vast fields of flowers that merge into a stunning floral sea with reflections in the lake - a breathtaking sight. The ever-snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain stands like a screen, visible in its entirety. Surrounded by verdant mountains and shaded by green trees, the nine natural pools shimmer like jade drops fallen from heaven, creating a spectacular scene.
