Ladies, I just got back from the Shanghai Greenhouse Garden, and I absolutely have to share my emotions! It was something incredible. When I saw photos of this place, I thought, "Well, it looks like the airport in Singapore, but in Shanghai!" And you know what? In person, it's even better! An indoor garden with a waterfall – yes, a real waterfall! – exceeded all my expectations. The garden is located in the center of the Shanghai Expo Culture Park, next to a lake and at the foot of the Twin Mountains. The scale is simply astonishing – 22,000 square meters! It's one of the largest glass greenhouse gardens in China, and you can feel it. Inside, there are three themed zones, and each one feels like a separate world. "Oasis in the Desert," "Forest in the Clouds," and "Misty Gorge" – I went through all three, and each zone is unique! A tropical arid environment transitions into humid jungles, and then you find yourself in a bright floral space. It's like traveling through three different continents in just a couple of hours! The orchids here are simply incredible – so many beautiful varieties, I photographed every single flower! There are countless photo opportunities here. The play of light through the glass domes, tropical plants, bridges over the waterfall – Instagram just explodes with shots like these. The only thing I didn't consider was bringing a light t-shirt. The greenhouses are quite stuffy, especially in the humid tropical forest zone. So, bring something light to change into or just be prepared for the heat! After my flight, this place was the perfect reset for me – a pleasant walk, refreshing greenery, and a chance to relax my soul. There's also a beautiful large park nearby where I continued my stroll. The day was a total success! By the way, the ticket costs only about 100 yuan (around $14), which for such scale and beauty is just a bargain. I spent almost two hours there and didn't regret it for a second. Over 73,000 people have already booked tickets, so it's a popular spot – and for good reason! If you're in Shanghai, this is a must-visit. Seriously, it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Nature, architecture, atmosphere – everything is perfect. #ShanghaiDisney If you want to fully enjoy Zootopia, early entry is essential, allowing you to enter one hour before opening. Nick and Judy greetings are also popular, so if you want to go, it's a good idea to plan ahead. Tickets appear to be available only through the official Shanghai Disney app. They can be purchased one week in advance and generally don't sell out except during long holidays and public holidays. As noted on the purchase screen, early entry to the Zootopia area is not guaranteed, so be careful. The official app is required, so be sure to install it. You cannot purchase an early entry pass unless you link your purchased 1-day ticket to the app. To qualify for early entry, it's best to arrive at the park after 6:00 AM. Since the first train departs late, it's best to choose a hotel within walking distance of Disneyland or within taxi distance.

Taking our child to Shanghai Disneyland 🏰 A family trip (parents and child, age 6) We arrived at Disneyland at 8 am, just as security checks were beginning and entrances were being released. (We chose not to buy early bird tickets because we had a child and were worried they wouldn't last long enough to see the fireworks.) We rented a stroller from Disneyland through our tour group (127 baht for the whole day, with a 300 yuan deposit refundable upon return). Upon entering, we immediately purchased a FAST PASS for Zootopia (540 yuan for 3 people) directly through the Shanghai Disneyland app. We then explored other rides first, including Peter Pan, Pirates of the Caribbean, the Dwarf Train, and went to the Toy Story zone. We only waited 5 minutes for each ride, presumably because most people were already in Zootopia. After exploring the other rides, we went to Zootopia. We were able to enter immediately, whereas the regular queue was 300 minutes long. We finished exploring the most popular rides by around 1 pm, then took our child to eat at Disney Town. Remember to keep your tickets handy, as eating at Disney Town with you will allow you to enter faster and avoid the security check queue again. After eating, we went back to Disneyland and gradually visited the less popular rides, so the wait times weren't long. The fireworks were at 8 PM sharp. We reserved a spot at 7 PM in the designated seating area. There were some strict staff members who would remind Chinese tourists not to stand in that area; everyone had to sit. For us, having a child was great because no one blocked our view and we didn't have to carry our baby, who was tired from carrying all day.🤣 🏢We stayed at the Novotel hotel near Disneyland. They have a shuttle service to Disneyland, which was very convenient. On the way back, we didn't have to struggle to find a ride with so many people. #shanghai #disneyland #travelchina

Strolling around Xintiandi (Xin Tian Di) This area is chill and peaceful, not crowded. There are restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and shopping malls where you can stroll around, take beautiful photos, and relax with a coffee. I highly recommend this area. UGG fans, you have to visit this branch – it's big, cute, and has lots of photo opportunities. It's easy to get to by subway. Most shops open at 10:00 AM. When I went, many shops weren't open yet – I went a bit too early 😁 But I still enjoyed strolling around and taking pictures because the weather was nice. #xintiandi #shanghai

This is actually the largest park in Shanghai, so there are multiple entrances. I’ve listed the metro stations closest to the photo spots. The park offers locations for every taste, but I was particularly impressed by the giant roses and the lack of crowds! 2. Shanghai Accounting Chamber and The Bund How to find: Intersection of Zhongshan East Road and Beijing East Road. The Bund area is home to many beautiful European-style buildings constructed in the early 20th century. To find less crowded spots, I recommend heading away from the Bund towards People’s Square, where the next location on the list is situated. 3. Metropolo Jinjiang Bund Hotel How to find: Intersection of Fuzhou Road and Jiangxi Middle Road. Its architecture attracts many photographers! 4. People’s Park How to get there: Lines 1, 2, 8, People’s Square Station. A quiet park with a lily pond, blooming trees, and hidden pathways. Bonus for those looking for a photo in a phone booth – they still exist at People’s Square. 5. Yuyuan Shopping Mall How to find: Intersection of Jiuxiaochang Road and Fangbang Middle Road. Yu Garden is considered one of the most popular tourist attractions in Shanghai - and we truly recommend visiting it. But there are a few things I wish I had known before going.🙏 First of all, Yu Garden is extremely crowded. Be prepared for large groups of people, queues, and quite a bit of chaos. Approach it philosophically - it’s part of the experience. Food tips: I highly recommend trying the famous giant soup dumplings - you’ll definitely notice them. You drink the broth from inside the dumpling through a straw, and it’s a fun and tasty experience. Be careful with the skewers, though. There are many vendors selling them, but not all are good. Some are served cold because they weren’t grilled fresh. We accidentally bought those and were disappointed. 🥲It’s better to choose something hot or ask if the skewers are freshly cooked.🔥 Photo services: You’ll also see many photographers offering to take beautiful professional pictures of you. We didn’t use their services because we had our own camera, but we watched them work with others - and the results looked stunning. If we didn’t have a camera, we probably would have said yes. Just make sure you clarify the price in advance, and be aware that they may push their services even if you don’t need them. Evening recommendation: If you visit in the evening, stay for the light show. It was incredibly impressive - a magical moment that made the whole visit unforgettable. The evening atmosphere in Yu Garden felt truly special and full of the spirit of China. Yu Garden really impressed us, especially at night. This is a local Chinese restaurant recommended by a friend who used to study in Shanghai. I can honestly say that even on my second visit, the taste is still as amazing as before. It gets quite busy in the evenings, but the wait isn't too long because the restaurant has plenty of tables. The atmosphere is pleasantly lively. 📍 Jiu Jiu Di Shui Dong 2nd floor, building on Changle Rd. (Changle Lu) You'll find it easily by searching on DiDi. This street is near Huaihai Rd., perfect for strolling, eating, and shopping. There are bars and pubs lining both sides, giving it a very modern Shanghai feel. > Recommendation: Evening is the best time to go. If you want to continue drinking, go on Friday or Saturday, as the bars in that area close early on other days. --- 🍽️ Dishes I ordered (and recommend): 🔥 Mapo Tofu The restaurant's signature dish. Rich in flavor, with a perfect balance of spicy mala pepper that tingles the tongue.
