A Guide to Shanghai's Super Popular Doraemon Special Exhibition

I'm so lucky to be able to check in before everyone else! 🥳 The [100% Doraemon & FRIENDS Tour Exhibition] Shanghai Station/Mainland China First Stop, co-sponsored by Jing An Kerry Centre JAKC and AllRightsReserved, has become popular all over the Internet before its official opening 🔥! The free check-in area is decorated with super cute decorations ✨. Passers-by can't help but stop to take pictures 📸. Both adults and children love it~ 💕 [Paid Exhibition Area Check-in Guide] 🎫 Figures 2-11 are in Exhibition Hall A: ✅1:1 life-size sculptures ✅Recreation of classic scenes such as Nobita's desk ✅Hand-painted replica of the original + a wall full of anime memories ✅Exclusive photo Doraemon time tunnel 🌈 (Figure 11 is a no-photography area ⚠️. The official picture is used~ Inside is a super healing projection picture book 📖, which will turn page by page, and there are also colorful Doraemon and friends interacting!) Figure 12 is Sculpture Park B: You can also take pictures outside 📷, but the effect is better when you go in for a group photo 👯♀️ Area C is a limited-time theater 🎥: 7-minute exclusive film (Gian's concert theme 🎤, plot kept secret~) Figure 13 Outdoor Exhibition Area: Similar to Area B, but surrounded by shopping malls 🏙️. [The free area is also great for taking pictures] 💫 Figure 1 Shopping Mall Atrium: Although it has been over-photographed 💥, a classic scene must be included~ There are also many sets outdoors, but I didn’t continue due to the rain~ [Shopping alert] 🛍️ Figure 14 Pop-up Store: ✅Shanghai limited edition ✅Some products have purchase restrictions ✅Super popular but the price...you know 💰 📅Exhibition period: March 29–May 5, 2025 ⏰Time: 10:00-22:00 (including free/paid areas) (Small tips: It is recommended to go on a working day when there are fewer people~)

Shanghai Museum

#discoverchina One can never visit Shanghai without visiting the iconic Shanghai Museum. If one were to do so, it’s like a man missing the opportunity to get culturally educated and inspired and it is one of the best curated museums in Shanghai. As it was their local school holiday on the date of our visit, the entrance was extremely crowded with long queues of visitors. It could be the tight security screening at the entrance that hindered the queue from shortening quickly. We spent at least half an hour to queue in order to enter the museum. Inside the museum, there were different levels catering to different types of artifacts and history to be shared. During my visit the 1st floor of the museum has been occupied by a big Egyptian special exhibit (which charges a quite high entrance fee, and doesn’t seem to warrant a visit), the content of the 3rd floor of the museum has been moved out to the Shanghai Museum East Building. The available exhibits are Marco Polo special exhibit (on the 2nd floor), and the All things glittering exhibit, the Ming-Qing Furniture exhibit, and the Chinese Minority Nationality Art exhibit on the 4th floor. The entire exhibit can be visited in about a hour.
