Xintiandi - old style Shanghai

#traveldiaries Xintiandi is considered the most expensive area in Shanghai and is a famous district in the city's central region. Known for its old Shanghai architecture, the district features numerous luxury shops, high-end restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Entrance is free, so I highly recommend visiting when you're in Shanghai. Although it has many expensive goods, the security is excellent, making it completely safe even when crowded—there's no need to worry about theft. Located in the heart of Shanghai, Xintiandi is easily accessible via subway line 10. If your accommodation is near attractions like Yu Garden or Yuyuan Old Street, you can conveniently bike to Xintiandi, which is both economical and practical. During my last visit, I chose to try the Peninsula Boutique and Coffee Shop. While it is quite pricey, it’s definitely worth it—especially the delicious mango cake, which is a must-try.
