Shanghai's Most Beautiful Temple - Baoshan Temple

Shanghai's most beautiful temple, Baoshan Temple, was founded in the sixth year of the Zhengde era of the Ming Dynasty. In 2005, it was relocated and rebuilt in coordination with the renovation of the Luodian ancient town. It was designed and planned by Mr. Yu Zongqiao, a disciple of Liang Sicheng, featuring the architectural style of the late Tang Dynasty with pure wooden mortise and tenon construction. It is also the only temple in China that has received the Lu Ban Award. To the east of Baoshan Temple lies the Zhi Garden, which is based on the architectural design of Tang Dynasty gardens. The Golden Pagoda in Zhi Garden is the first newly built seven-story pure wooden structure in the style of a Tang Dynasty tower in China in nearly a thousand years. When the wind blows, the wind chimes on the Golden Pagoda ring with a crisp and simple sound that calms the mind and nurtures the spirit. Its location is somewhat remote and it is not heavily promoted, so there are no tourist groups or internet celebrities flocking to check in, making it a rare quiet place.
