Hello! Today, I'm going to post about a cafe that opened in COEX! Actually, I go to COEX often, but I didn't know this cafe existed! It's Cafe Gabedo! I went there on the weekend, and there were definitely a lot of people ㅠㅠ But the interior of the cafe itself was so pretty, so I walked around and took a lot of pictures! [Jamsil Seokchon Lake Outing🌱] Dessert Restaurant Orange💛 This place, which looks like you've been teleported to the South of France, is Cafe Orange near Jamsil Seokchon Lake❣️ It was a place where you could really feel the meticulous attention to detail put into every part of the space, from the entrance to the interior design. Every single prop, the atmosphere, the music selection, the delicious desserts, and the coffee, it was a perfect cafe! I visited because it was famous for its strawberry desserts, but unfortunately, since I visited after the strawberry season, the strawberry desserts were out of season 🥺 Unfortunately, I ordered mugwort gateau, cafe latte, and Americano and tasted them! I think the first time I properly tried mugwort desserts was at Orange. When I first saw mugwort gateau on the menu, I had no idea what it would taste like, but it was a whole new world💚 The cream and sheet full of the bitter mugwort flavor, and the crunchy and sweet lotus-like crumble went well together! I respect the owner for coming up with such a combination🤭 Both the cafe latte and the Americano had such a harmonious taste, aroma, and acidity that it was great to enjoy with dessert! [Gangnam Station Hot Place🔥] Cocktail Restaurant Bar Ugly🍸 Early last year, I visited Gangnam Station's hot place cocktail bar Ugly, which has a luxurious yet trendy vibe in late winter! As soon as I entered, the gorgeous constellation pattern on the ceiling and the antique, luxurious, yet heavy interior caught my eye. Since I visited early in the evening on a weekday, the store wasn't crowded yet, so it was nice to enjoy a cocktail quietly. The menu had illustrations of the cocktails and the main ingredients explained, so it was easy to choose. There were so many pretty and unique cocktails that I really wanted to try, so it wasn't an easy choice 🥺 After much thought, I ordered Ugly's signature cocktail, Not Ugly. Not Ugly is a gin-based cocktail with lemon juice, thyme, and lavender syrup, which gives it a refreshing taste. The egg white is also shaken together, and the soft foam creates a refreshing yet soft aftertaste, which seemed to balance the overall taste and texture. Egg whites in cocktails may seem strange and unfamiliar, but because they are shaken vigorously multiple times, they turn into very delicate and soft foams, so they are not greasy at all, but rather, they blend harmoniously with other main ingredients and play a huge role in enhancing the taste, flavor, and texture.
