German Alpine Lake, a romantic wonderland ignored by many tourists

At the southern end of the Romantic Road, the famous Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle stand here. Tens of thousands of visitors every day overwhelm the tourist facilities around Schwann Castle, and the originally small town of Füssen has become bustling with this world-renowned attraction. However, when tourists flock to Neuschwanstein Castle, they often overlook the quiet and deep Alpine Lake (Aplsee). It is like an unknown and wonderful book that baptizes me physically and mentally. The Alpine Lake is about 4 kilometers away from Füssen, southwest of Neuschwanstein Castle, hidden among high mountains and dense forests. The lake is not very large, with a circumference of only 5 kilometers and a depth of 62 meters. The lake is crystal clear, like an emerald gem set in a lush forest. Because it is close to the Swan Castle, it has a more beautiful and romantic fairy tale color. No matter when, the lake is as charming as a fairy casting magic. It is green in early spring, sparkling in midsummer, vast in late autumn, and clear in winter. If Swan Castle is the radiant sun, then the Alpine Lake is the bright moon behind the clouds and mist, alone beautiful and charming. I will never forget the feeling I had when I first saw an Alpine lake. Climbing to the top of the mountain in an air full of the smell of horse manure, struggling to squeeze out a spot on the crowded chain bridge to take a photo with Neuschwanstein Castle, then taking a crowded bus down the mountain and dragging heavy steps to the lakeside. There were few people around the lake at this time. A couple and their children were playing in the water. The lake was green and calm, with only a small boat gently swaying, as if they were in a fairyland. I walked along the lakeside into the depths of the forest. The setting sun cast charming light spots through the woods, accompanied by the laughter of children and the chirping of birds. This short journey was full of dreams and joy. It is said that it takes about 2 to 3 hours to go around the lake, and the road conditions are suitable for hiking. However, I think the best way to experience the beauty of a lake is to be in it. So, I rented a small boat and paddled in the lake, immersed in the tranquility, even breathing carefully. Surprisingly, although it is not far from the Swan Castle scenic area, it is far away from the hustle and bustle and commercialization, just like a "quiet and beautiful man" unmoved by the world. At this time, the sound of falling water attracted me. It turned out that two German boys jumped from the high cliff. They dived again at my request with graceful movements. There is also a German couple shooting a romantic wedding photoshoot in the lake. Their love is eternal under the witness of the lake. The Alpine Lakes gave me not only a quiet natural journey, but also a perfect romantic experience.
