One of Saitama Prefecture's most famous flower spots, "Satte Gongendo Sakura Tsutsumi" In April, the cherry blossom season is a huge hit with the combination of a carpet of rape blossoms and cherry blossoms. A row of cherry blossoms falls along the bank for about 1 km, and when you go down to the riverbank, the rape blossoms bloom all over the place. The contrast between the pink of the cherry blossoms and the yellow of the rape blossoms is very fairy-tale-like and very popular. Then, in June, in early summer, there is a carpet of hydrangeas and Annabelle flowers. In July and August, there is a sunflower field. In autumn, there is a deep red carpet of red spider lilies. In winter, there are daffodils, pansies, Kawazu cherry blossoms, and more. The flowers of each season decorate Gongendo, making it a gorgeous place no matter when you go. It is also a course for walking dogs for local people. Basically, admission and parking are free except for the Sakura Festival. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the festivals have resumed during each flower season.
