Lavender Garden Sapporo

#SapporoTourism This lavender garden is located on a small hill (Horomitoge Pass) near the center of Sapporo. About 8,000 lavender plants are planted, and beyond the vivid purple carpet, you can see the cityscape of central Sapporo. It's hard to believe that this view can be seen just a 20-minute drive from Odori Park. The lavender is in full bloom every year around July 15th to 20th. By the way, viewing the lavender is free. Only the parking fee is charged. (As of July 2022, ¥500 per visit) You can also experience harvesting lavender, but this is subject to a fee. There is no public transportation nearby, so you can only visit by car or on foot, but the slope at the pass is quite steep and long. We recommend visiting by car.
