The end of the road

The western terminus of America’s iconic route 66, is not actually drivable and found jutting out into the Pacific Ocean along the Santa Monica pier. The pier itself is a classic tourist attraction with souvenir stalls, the usual food or hot dogs and donuts and a funfair at its end. The pier is arguably one of the best examples of Americana in the sprawling city of Los Angeles and can be a wonderful, slightly childish escape from the often materialistic scene witnessed in the rest of the metropolis. #voyagevibes
